The Social Educircation network in cooperation with the Fundacja Miasto Projekt from Poland will host in 2016 a training offered by Cirque du Monde, the social circus program of Cirque du Soleil. This training is organized primarily for the Central-Eastern European countries to enhance social circus activities and its professional level. Led by two trainers from Cirque du Soleil, the training is conducted in two distinct parts, Part 1 and Part 2, each lasting 40 hours and spread over five days. Based around themed activities, games, discussion and reflection, it aims to:
-Develop the skills of practitioners in terms of the planning and running of social circus workshops
-Position the circus arts as a bridge between education, social intervention and artistic expression.
-Develop high levels of personal and professional ethics
-Lead practitioners to put creativity at the heart of their approach
-Pass on the basics of the tandem approach
-Lead practitioners to reflect on the reality of the communities targeted
by their project
-Raising awareness among practitioners of the international reach of the social circus movement
